THE TREND OF CONSUMING RAW CHICKEN IS ON THE RISE

Travel enthusiast Johnny Kyunghwo recently shared an

intriguing culinary escapade from South Korea, where he

sampled a daring dish: raw chicken, commonly known as

chicken sashimi. Documenting his adventure on TikTok

under the handle @johnnykyunghwo, he sparked a mix

of fascination and concern among his audience

Johnny ventured into Haenam, South Korea, renowned

for its local delicacy – free-range chicken, which is served

raw as chicken sashimi. This unique dish, also known as

torisashi in Japan, involves serving raw chicken alongside

soy sauce and wasabi, akin to traditional sashimi. To

ensure safety, the chicken is typically briefly boiled or

seared for approximately 10 seconds before serving

in his video, Johnny shared his verdict, surprising many

by confessing that chicken sashimi exceeded his

expectations. Despite apprehensions surrounding raw
