Reba McEntire‘s son Shelby recently celebrated his 34th birthday, and in honor of his big day the country legend shared a sweet tribute and a rare photo of the two.

From the first second I found out I was pregnant, up to today, this child is one of the biggest blessings of my life,” McEntire wrote. “Thank you, God for letting me experience being a mama. I love you, Shelby, with all my heart mind and soul.”

McEntire and her ex-husband Narvel Blackstock welcomed Shelby Blackstock in 1990.
Despite being at the top of her career, Reba told people she did her best to spend quality time with Shelby.
